Description from the Workshop

NOTE: THIS MOD IS CURRENTLY WIP BUT GAMEPLAY READY OTAC Ear Pro brings active hearing protection to Arma Reforger. Players will be able to wear an active headset that changes the way the game sounds in a hopefully authentic way. Loud noises such as gunfire and explosions are all dynamically compressed or boosted if they are far away, while quieter sounds like footsteps, voices and movement are amplified. FEATURES - Two headset modes that can be switched via the RHS radial wheel: - Off: sounds exactly as if no headset were worn. For players on servers who like the look but not the audio. This is the default option. - High: Active hearing. Loud sounds are compressed, quiet sounds are lifted, and everything takes on the tone of an electronic headset. - No tinnitus while a headset is worn, in either mode. - Your own gunshots, other players' gunshots, impacts, sonic cracks, vehicles, wildlife, wind and weather each have their own level in High mode. - Nearby players' voice chat goes through the headset in High mode, while radio stays as it is. - Supports the RHS: Status Quo headsets out of the box. Peltors, Impact, Sordins, Liberators and 6M2's. All of these are overides within this framework project. Please note that all headsets currently use the same sound profile. FOR MODDERS This EarPro mod is also a framework. Add the OTAC_EarProComponent to any headset prefab and tune its sound in Workbench. This way different headset models can each have their own unique sound profile. ROADMAP/WISHLIST: - Keybinds to switch modes - Additional modes such as Off (Muffled): As if you are wearing a headset that isn't on. Low: Some headsets offer a low amplification mode. - Whatever else I might think of, I have no idea lol. COMPATIBILITY EarPro changes the game's final audio mix and the voice chat routing. Other mods that replace those same files may conflict. LICENSE This project is currently using the APL-ND license. However if you wish to tweak it, make a compat, or yo...
