Description from the Workshop

AI helicopters that fly proper missions to markers you place on the map. This covers troop insertion, landings, HALO drops, cargo slingload and close air support, and it works for the Game Master and for players. MARKER TYPES Place these from the map radial menu, as Game Master waypoints, or as player requests: LZ (Rope Drop): the helicopter hovers over the marker and troops fast-rope down. LN (Landing): the helicopter flies a planned approach, lands on the marker, and troops disembark. The approach is chosen automatically from obstacles around the pad, the terrain slope and the helicopter’s size and weight. LAND (Land & Shutdown): lands and shuts down. HL (HALO Jump): troops jump from 500, 1000, 1500 or 2000 m. CAS (Attack) and CASC (Circle): the helicopter attacks targets in a patrol area, or orbits the marker while engaging. MOVE (Patrol Area): patrols a set radius, at normal speed or a slow, low search pattern. SH (Cargo Delivery): slingloads a vehicle from a pickup point to a delivery point. SH-LZ (Cargo and Ropes): delivers cargo and drops troops on ropes at the same location. LP (Route): extra route points the helicopter flies through before the final marker. Troop request variants (LZ-, LN-, SH-LZ- and HL-TROOPS): players call for a helicopter to bring troops to them. Marker options include the number of helicopters (1–3), a specific helicopter type, a PIN/tag so only matching helicopters respond, and an execute toggle to dispatch. LANDING Approach, braking and descent are planned from the helicopter’s weight, so light helicopters bank tighter and heavy ones come in wider. Several touchdown checks run on the way in: obstacle clearance for the aircraft’s footprint, slope, and gear height detection per helicopter. It works with helicopters from other mods through automatic detection, without hand-tuning each one. ROPES AND CARGO Fast-roping (F.R.I.E.S.): AI and players use ropes on the included helicopters. Ropes retract automatically when the drop is finished...
