Flight Warning Systems

A complete cockpit warning suite that any aircraft mod can hang into itself. Nothing here is tied to a specific airframe. The components read what they need out of the base game's flight simulation, so a vanilla helicopter and a third-party airliner get the same warnings with the same effort: drop the components on, done. AEROPLANE WARNINGS GPWS - Mode 1 — excessive sink rate (SINKRATE, PULL UP) - Mode 2 — excessive terrain closure (TERRAIN, PULL UP) - Mode 3 — altitude loss after takeoff (DONT SINK) - Mode 4 — unsafe configuration near the ground (TOO LOW GEAR, TOO LOW FLAPS) - Mode 5 — below glideslope (GLIDESLOPE) - Too Low Terrain, Bank Angle, Minimums and Approaching Minimums - Altitude callouts from 2500 down to 10 feet - EGPWS look-ahead that scans the terrain beside the flight path (CAUTION TERRAIN) TCAS - Traffic advisory (TRAFFIC TRAFFIC) - Resolution advisory (CLIMB NOW, DESCEND NOW) Stall protection - Stall warning, stick shaker and camera shake System tones - V1, Rotate, Positive Rate, Gear Up - Overspeed, fire bell, autopilot disconnect Configuration warnings - Takeoff configuration check — flaps, trim and parking brake on the takeoff roll - Landing gear horn — throttle back, low, gear still up HELICOPTER WARNINGS - HTAWS terrain awareness that works in the hover, where a fixed-wing GPWS switches itself off - Wire strike warning against powerlines - Low rotor RPM, critical low RPM and rotor overspeed - Vortex ring state - Height-velocity avoid region CONFIGURABLE, NOT OPINIONATED Who hears the callouts is a setting too: pilots only, the whole flight crew, a radius around the cockpit, everyone on board, or everyone in earshot. Aircraft with their own cockpit prefab and aircraft without one are both supported. Any sound event can be blanked out by clearing its name field, which lets a warning keep computing while staying silent.
