Operation Rattler - Arland 1.7

This mission is simple. Eliminate the VIPs. If you die you spawn back at one of the available spawn points. It is dynamic and plays different every instance. 1. SITUATION (a) Enemy Forces: Soviet forces maintain a garrison of approximately 600 personnel on the island of Arland. They control the western half of the island. Soviet forces are equipped with standard Warsaw Pact weaponry. Current assessment indicates a reduced operational tempo, but potential for rapid reinforcement exists. (b) Friendly Forces: The Freedom and Independence Army (FIA) comprises the civilian population of Arland and holds the eastern half of the island. Their strength is estimated at approximately 300 irregular fighters. The FIA maintains a stable defensive line along the central ridge of the island. A limited network of indigenous contacts exists, providing intermittent intelligence. (c) Civil Considerations: The population of Arland is largely sympathetic to the FIA, but increasingly frustrated with the ongoing stalemate. They desire a complete removal of Soviet forces but fear escalation. The FIA enjoys widespread respect, although leadership concerns are emerging. Civilian casualties must be avoided at all costs.
