Two Distinct Eras: 1983 & 1989 British Forces mod features two eras of the British Military. In 1983 the British military were still learning the lessons of the Falklands War, and the majority of equipment and tactics had been kept alive for nearly 30 years. By 1989 the Army was transforming into its modern form, adopting NATO 556 arms, cutting edge AT weapons and modern unit tactics.
