Description from the Workshop
S.C.O.P.E. — Surveillance, Control & Observation of Airspace WORK IN PROGRESS. Two kits in every faction arsenal, equipment, 2×1, supply cost 0: dish and monitor. Quick slot, aim, F. Full-size ghost, about 12 m. Dish goes on ground, roof, or a crate. Never on a vehicle. On place, the server gives the dish a unique 4-character code. Read it on the pickup action. Tune a monitor to that code. No radar of your faction on that code: NO SIGNAL. Only your faction can adjust the site. Another faction keeps the objects, not the controls. The dish turns once every 4 seconds. It paints only the azimuth the beam is crossing. Between sweeps the plot does not follow. Terrain, a building, or a vehicle on the ray masks the plot. It is not refreshed, and it drops on the next sweep. A plot holds a bit over one turn (~4.6 s) if it is not repainted. Cap: 48 plots. The dish only sweeps if at least one monitor of its faction is tuned to its code. Painted distance is the highest range those screens ask for, capped at 10 km. A screen set to 500 m still shows 500 m. Scope is north-up, green trace, green plots. Four rings, equal quarters of the selected range. World map locked on the antenna and the selected range (Everon, Arland, Cain, or the mission map). Missing map: NO DATA, scope still runs. Each plot: callsign on the point. List, top left, nearest first: callsign, range, altitude ASL, heading, speed. Heading and speed only on the second pass. Heading only if the aircraft moved at least 8 m on the ground, taken from that move, not from the nose. Speed in km/h. Counter bottom left. Automatic callsigns, given by the server to your faction on first plot, kept outside the beam: 12-HE-NO — helicopter, no transponder 3-AV-NO — plane, no transponder A "?" means painted this pass, not identified yet. A blue plot means a helicopter crew member is wearing the HMSD cable (pilot, copilot, turret, door gun, cargo). Without that mod, plots stay green. Planes stay green. No aircraft name is written in...
