Description from the Workshop

JM Civilian AI – living civilians in a world at war • Towns come alive automatically: every city, town, village and settlement on the map gets civilians as soon as a player (or the Game Master camera) comes close • Daily life: people work, go shopping, talk to each other, stand on the street and go home – fewer people in the evening, most stay inside at night • 7 personalities: worker, shopper, resident, elderly, nervous, calm, curious – everybody reacts differently • When shooting starts: civilians stop and look, then take cover in houses or behind walls, flee from the combat zone or hide crouched • Realistic hearing: a single shot far away is ignored, close gunfire, machine guns and explosions cause panic • They make mistakes: some freeze in shock or run the wrong way first – panic spreads, people warn each other ("Get down!") • Families and friends walk together – in danger they flee together or scatter • Dynamic danger zones follow the fight; streets empty out, and after the battle people slowly return • Civilian cars (S105, S1203, UAZ) drive between towns, park, turn around when there is fighting ahead – a scared driver stops and runs • Reactions to soldiers: some watch, some step aside, nervous people keep their distance • Checkpoints (Game Master: right-click "Checkpoint here"): civilians and cars stop and wait to be checked – only when soldiers are there • Wounded civilians: brave bystanders run over, kneel down and stop the bleeding • Walk up to a civilian and stand still: they tell you what they know – where the fighting is, where soldiers are, or just "Is the road up ahead safe?" • Sometimes a civilian picks up a weapon from the ground and fights back (10 % chance) • Game Master: right-click "Civilian zone here" to add a populated area anywhere • Vanilla only, server-side, performance-friendly (far away civilians are calculated less often), fully configurable Write me with mod ideas!
