Description from the Workshop
TAC-EW adds a SIGINT (signals intelligence) app to your Kova ATAK tablet. Listen in on AI radio traffic, see who is talking, and hunt transmitters by signal strength without ever seeing them. HOW IT WORKS - Every AI group talks on its own radio net with its own frequency - When someone in the group keys up, the transmission appears on your tablet live - Only soldiers who are alive, conscious and carrying a powered radio can transmit. Kill or down the radio operator and that voice goes off the air - Animals and other non-faction AI never transmit THE SIGINT APP - Live intercept list: frequency, faction and signal strength (dBm) - Signal strength falls off with distance and is weakened by terrain, buildings and other obstructions - Faction tags and a faction filter (ALL or a single faction) - Pin signals: tap a row to pin it. Pinned signals stay at the top, even after the transmission ends, and show live strength whenever the source keys up again. Pin as many as you like. Pins are saved on the tablet - Scrolling list for missions with lots of AI - High and low gain: high gain (default) picks up distant signals. Close signals peg out as SAT. Switch to low gain to bring the reading back down and narrow in on the source RSSI HUNTING No compass or direction readout, by design. Pin a signal, wait for it to key up, take a reading, move, and take another. Rising numbers mean you are closer. Use high gain to find the area, low gain to pin down the source. FOR MISSION MAKERS - Add one SIGINT_TxScheduler component to any entity in your world and assign the SIGINT_Transmission.et prefab. AI groups start generating traffic with no per-unit setup - Configurable average interval between transmissions per net and average transmission length. Transmissions are spread across the interval so the airwaves stay busy without bunching up - Require radio: only AI carrying a powered radio can talk (on by default) - Settings for clear-air radio range, tablet receiver gain, and the player...
