Description from the Workshop

USASOC AI F-35 LIGHTNING AI-flown F-35B close air support. Players call it in with a SOFLAM, or Game Master places a CAS marker. It takes off, strikes the target, and comes home to rearm. HOW TO USE Setup (Game Master) 1. Place RWY START and RWY END on the runway centreline. 2. Place the F-35 within 400 m of RWY START, facing down the runway, with an AI in the pilot seat. It checks in as BOLT 1-1 (up to four: BOLT 1-1 to 1-4). Calling it in: two ways - GAME MASTER: place a CAS marker on the target. Double-click it to set passes, weapon, attack direction and more. - SOFLAM (players): look through the SOFLAM, switch the laser on and hold it on the target for 3 seconds. The CAS REQUEST screen opens: pick your aircraft, ordnance and passes, check its ammo, and hit SEND. Double-tap the laser key to abort. The jet takes off, strikes, then holds overhead or returns to base. Place an RTB marker to call it home. FEATURES - Flies like a strike jet: guided weapons released level from stand-off, then a pass over the target - Loadout: 12 Mk 82 bombs (4 per run), 6 SCALP missiles (2 per run), 20 mm gun (100-round bursts) - Auto weapon choice uses missiles, then bombs, and the gun last - Full CAS options: number of passes, weapon, attack direction, orbit height and size, impact radius, after-mission - SOFLAM 9-line style request screen with live aircraft status and ammo counts - Assign several aircraft to one target, or run different aircraft on different targets at the same time - Danger close check with initials, and abort by double-tapping the laser key - Lands, rearms and refills flares automatically, then waits for the next tasking - Gear, flares and engine handled by the AI - A player taking the pilot seat takes control back from the AI REQUIRED MODS - USASOC CAS Core - USASOC Fixed Wing Core - F-35B Lightning II (and its own requirements) NOTES - Works alongside the USASOC AI A-10 using the same runway and CAS markers. - Server-side AI: the pilot must be an AI, not...
