Description from the Workshop

GSC X TWS Garbage Collector A lightweight, performance-friendly battlefield cleanup system. No periodic world scans, no polling — everything is triggered by actual game events (death, destruction, item drop), so the cost is zero while nothing is happening. WHAT IT CLEANS • Corpses — dead characters, after a configurable lifetime • Vehicle wrecks — destroyed vehicles, after a configurable lifetime • Dropped items — loose weapons/gear on the ground, after a configurable lifetime • Grenades & smokes — removed only after a safety delay long enough for them to detonate or burn out, never touched while still active • Empty magazines — deleted instantly on drop, regardless of location • Abandoned vehicles — intact vehicles with nobody inside for a configurable duration (Conflict/Campaign only) SAFETY & CONFIGURATION • Everything is configurable live in-game via Editor → Scenario Properties → "GSC Garbage Collector" tab — no need to edit files or restart the server for most changes • Settings persist across mission changes and full server restarts (saved to a JSON config file) • A configurable minimum distance keeps anything from disappearing right in front of a player • Items dropped at a faction's main base are cleaned up instantly, since that area sees constant traffic • A prefab whitelist (edited via the JSON config, viewable in-game) permanently protects specific items/vehicles from ever being removed — useful for event vehicles, quest items, etc. PERFORMANCE Discovery and cleanup timing are both event-driven: each entity gets its own precise, one-shot removal timer set exactly to its configured lifetime. The only thing that runs periodically is the "abandoned vehicle" check (since that's a state, not a discrete event), and even that only sweeps a lightweight vehicle registry every few minutes. COMPATIBILITY Works with any game mode. The main-base and abandoned-vehicle features are Conflict/Campaign-specific and simply stay inactive on other game modes — no er...
