EC665 Tiger The EC665 Tiger is a twin-engine, two-seat attack helicopter originally developed by Eurocopter, now Airbus Helicopters. Designed for armed reconnaissance, escort, close air support, air-to-air combat, and anti-tank warfare, the Tiger combines speed, maneuverability, advanced sensors, and heavy firepower in a compact airframe. The pilot and weapons officer sit in a tandem cockpit, while the four-bladed main rotor and twin MTR390 engines provide the agility needed for fast, low-altitude operations. The Tiger can locate targets, strike armored vehicles, protect friendly ground forces, and engage hostile aircraft during both daytime and nighttime missions. The German UHT version can carry several weapon configurations, including PARS 3 LR anti-tank missiles, Stinger air-to-air missiles, 70 mm rocket pods, and 12.7 mm gun pods.
