Description from the Workshop
An attempt to create a more consistent ammo standard across different weapon mods, while improving server transparency and fair play. Different weapon mods often include their own versions of the same ammunition, with very different damage, penetration and ballistic values. This can make weapon balance difficult when several mods are used together on the same server. The goal of this mod is simple: One ammo type = one standard set of values. For example, M995 should have one ammo variant regardless of which weapon mod the magazine or weapon comes from. The weapon itself can still have its own characteristics, but ammunition using the same real-world designation should behave consistently. Combined with the 3bit Shooting Range, players can test different weapons and ammunition types under controlled conditions and report anything that feels unusually strong, weak or inconsistent. The mod is also intended to improve transparency. Ammo values can be compared and tested rather than hidden behind individual weapon mods. Main Goals Standardise identical ammunition across different weapon mods. Reduce balance problems caused by heavily buffed or nerfed ammo. Improve transparency for server owners and players. Provide a consistent baseline for testing weapons. Allow unusual or unbalanced ammunition to be identified through player testing. Keep weapon characteristics separate from ammunition balance. This is an ongoing balancing project and values may change as more weapons and ammunition are tested. The intention is not to make every weapon equal. Different weapons should still have their own strengths, weaknesses and handling characteristics. The aim is simply to make sure that M995 is M995, M993 is M993, 5.45 AP is 5.45 AP, regardless of which supported weapon mod is using it.
