Description from the Workshop

Chemical Warfare (Dev) You should not depend on this mod directly, instead use "Chemical Warfare" when it reaches its first minor version (v0.1+). This mod will not be stable enough to run in public servers and may lead to unexpected or undesired results. Currently working on developing a new character damage mechanic: chemical gas. This project doesn't focus on model development, instead it focuses on bringing a robust, reuseable and Enfusion-compliant way of introducing chemical weapons to your server or single-player experience. This will eventually be open source with more information available in Github. Chart shows how distance from the center of a gas cloud and health affects overall probability and damage values. In short, you'll receive the full effect at the center and almost no effect at the edge of a gas cloud. - Damage model: you'll take less damage at the edge of a gas cloud and when at full health than you will in the center. Center of a gas cloud is near-certain death whereas at the edge it is much more forgiving. This is designed to replicate dispersion and will be expanded on in future. - Kill registration: instigator data is properly attributed to the player to ensure kills are accurately recorded. This ensures player statistics are correct and also ensures administrators can track team kills properly. - Randomisation: most things are randomised using distance and health based weighting and/or variance ensuring a dynamic outcome every time. Planned: - Facial coverings will factor into how damage is calculated and not just gas masks. - ACE Medical and ACE Medical Prototypes will be supported, adding additional complications to entering gas zones. - AI will be updated to be aware of the new threat of chemical gas exposure. Visually inspired by DayZ "Contaminated Zones".
