Description from the Workshop

APOC Creatures brings unsettling encounters to your scenarios. This first release includes the Scarecrow Stalker. More creatures are planned for future updates to this same mod. CURRENTLY INCLUDED: SCARECROW STALKER An unarmed scarecrow that follows a living player through the map. It walks nearby, runs to catch up, and suddenly appears about two metres in front of the player when it reaches the 15-metre range. It faces the player and laughs, then waits before it can jump again. - Red glowing eyes. - Two creepy laughs and five spoken taunts with positional audio. - Fast tracking updates when the player changes direction. - Landing clearance checks and a jump cooldown. - Adjustable follow distance, jump distance, voice timing, and cooldown. - No attacks or jump-scare damage. Only the scarecrow is teleported. HOW TO USE Add APOC Creatures as a dependency of your scenario. Place the Scarecrow Stalker GROUP on navigable ground, then start the scenario with a living player character. Use Prefabs/Groups/Group_ScarecrowStalker.et in Workbench. The group supplies its following behavior; placing the character alone does not. It does not spawn automatically in every mission. Following depends on the map's navigation mesh. A blocked landing area prevents the jump until a clear spot is available. EARLY RELEASE Local Workbench following, jump placement, and sound playback have been tested. Dedicated-server and joining-client testing is still pending. Please report issues with the map, scenario, and reproduction steps. More creatures will be added over time. The scarecrow remains part of this collection.
