    ## [1.2.0] - 2026-10-23 ### Added - Fire selector markings on both sides: red full-auto symbol and white safe symbol next to the selector lever - The selector lever moves: it points at the red symbol on full auto and at the white symbol on safe. The weapon starts on fire instead of safe - Flush silver bolt in the round boss on the top cover (hand and vehicle version) - Tracer rounds in the belt have a red tip, AP rounds a black tip (the belt shows the rounds of its type: standard belt every 5th round a red tip) - Belt indicator on the top cover: the black plate with a red stripe in the slot in front of the round screw sticks out while a belt with rounds is loaded, dips with every shot and sinks into the slot when the belt is empty or missing. Hand and vehicle version ### Fixed - The fire mode / safety action now sits on the selector lever instead of under the weapon - A dropped weapon no longer keeps twitching on the ground: the colliders of the belt pouch and the 500-round box no longer reach into the weapon, and the flash hider collider is part of the barrel collider ### Changed - The muzzle slot is gone: there is no suppressor for the real MG5, so the original flash hider is now fixed to the barrel. Suppressors from other mods no longer fit, and the separate flash hider is no longer in the arsenal - Muzzle flash and smoke come from the tip of the flash hider - Rounds and links in the belt now have the real 7.62×51 size (they were about 81 %) - Rounds look like real DM111: brass case, copper-coloured tombac bullet, dark phosphated links - The belt hangs like a real link belt: it bends down over a few rounds right after leaving the feed and then hangs straight down into the pouch; the pouch sits a little further to the left and is wider at the front, so the longer rounds no longer stick out. In the 500-round box the belt drops straight into the box

Description from the Workshop

The MG5 in 7.62x51 mm NATO for Arma Reforger, in a coyote finish with soft desert camo spots. It feeds from a 100-round belt pouch: the belt visibly jerks forward with every shot and gets shorter as you fire. The DM21 tracer burns out at about 770 m. The pouches also fit the vanilla M60. - Animated belt and a feed cover hinged at the front like the real weapon - 4x scope with a real magnified picture and its own 7.62 reticle: zeroed at 300 m, holdover marks from 400 to 1000 m, lead marks every 1 mrad - Picatinny rails on top, bottom, bottom front, left and right for sights, lights, lasers and grips - Vertical foregrip and horizontal assault grip; both reduce recoil - Swappable flash hider: takes 7.62 suppressors from other mods - Gas regulator with three rates of fire (640 / 720 / 800 rpm), set in the inspection mode (hold R) – experimental - Shot sounds from real recordings - Available in the US, USSR and FIA arsenals - No vanilla files are overwritten DOCUMENTATION Holdover table, ammunition, attachments and server admin info: https://grrrs-reforger-mods.de/mods/mg5 BUGS & FEEDBACK Please open a ticket in #ticket-system on our Discord https://discord.gg/muGUTcaQdV CREDITS - 3D model: giancarlo-biscotti (CGTrader), purchased with support from [GTG] John Sheppard.
