Description from the Workshop

Aviation Toolkit: JSBSim Framework for Arma Reforger Aviation Toolkit brings the industry-standard JSBSim Flight Dynamics Engine natively into Bohemia Interactive's Enfusion Engine, delivering a high-fidelity 6-DoF aerodynamic simulation, dedicated multiplayer synchronization, and a modular scripting layer for creating authentic aircraft in Arma Reforger. Rather than relying on simplified arcade vehicle physics, Aviation Toolkit runs full 6-DoF aerospace calculations under the hood: lift, drag, thrust, moment coefficients, control surface deflections, atmospheric variations, and ground interactions in real time. What the Framework Does: - Native JSBSim Integration: Embeds the open-source JSBSim flight dynamics model directly inside Enfusion. Simulates authentic 6-DoF flight dynamics, realistic stall/spin characteristics, true airspeed/groundspeed, ground reaction/gear physics, and altitude-dependent atmospheric behavior. - Custom Intermediate Scripting Layer: Bridges JSBSim and Enfusion. Simulation state variables are exposed through a flexible property tree, allowing modders to easily read flight data and build custom systems in Enforce Script, including cockpit instruments, analog/digital gauges, engine management, electrical switches, avionics, and procedural animations. - Multiplayer Replication and Synchronization: Engineered specifically for Reforger's networked environment. Uses high-rate state replication, historical buffering, and smooth interpolation to eliminate visual jitter and maintain synchronized flight dynamics across dedicated servers and connected clients. - Open Architecture: The framework does not dictate your vehicle setup. Modders provide their own 3D models, cockpits, instruments, gauges, procedural animations, and sounds, using the framework as the physics and systems backbone. Developer Tools and Pipeline: To streamline aircraft creation, a dedicated open-source toolchain is provided to convert standard JSBSim flight models directly i...
