  1. v2.1.0 2.5 MB 29 Sep 2026

NEW - Added configuration collision override support. - Added configurable overridePrefix (i.e.: [RUPV2_]) for creating mod-specific FiF_Core configuration keys. - Added named logging using the "FiF_RUPV2" logger. CHANGED - Updated all Rank Unlock V2 configuration consumers to use resolved configuration values. - Configuration lookups now automatically account for the configured RUPV2 override prefix when collision override is enabled. - Updated configuration registration and resolution to support both shared FiF_Core values and RUPV2-specific override values. REQUIRES - FiF_Core 2.1.0 or later. When collision override is disabled, Rank Unlock V2 continues to participate in FiF_Core's normal first-registered-value* precedence. When enabled, Rank Unlock V2 uses its own prefixed configuration keys, allowing its settings to remain independent of matching configuration keys registered by other Forged in Fire mods. Note: FiF_Core's first-registered-value behavior is INTENTIONALLY DIFFERENT from Bohemia's standard mod load-order behavior. Under the standard behavior, the last-loaded mod determines the final state. Mods are loaded in the order they appear in the server configuration's "Load Mods" field. Server Managers should ensure FiF_Core and all other installed Forged in Fire mods are updated to compatible versions.

Description from the Workshop

Rank Unlock V2 is a lightweight, focused rank-gating framework. Instead of disabling or replacing the entire supply system, RUPV2 targets the individual systems that actually use rank restrictions. DROP & PLAY Add Rank Unlock V2 to your server and play. By default, RUPV2 removes the supported rank restrictions: • Arsenal items are not rank locked • Military Supply Allocation (MSAR) is disabled • Loadouts are available beginning at Private • Base building ignores rank restrictions • Vehicle spawning ignores rank restrictions • AI teams may be requisitioned and commanded beginning at Private No RUPV2 prefab needs to be placed in your world. The default configuration is registered automatically through FiF_Core. CUSTOMIZABLE Want rank restrictions instead of completely unlocked gameplay? RUPV2 still includes FiF_RUPV2_RankUnlockConfigComponent as an optional configuration component. A mission or server developer may place the FiF_Core prefab and attach the RUPV2 configuration component to its FiF_CoreConfigEntity. The component exposes the RUPV2 settings directly in Workbench, allowing custom rank-gating without editing the runtime scripts. Configure: • Arsenal rank locking • Military Supply Allocation (MSAR) • Minimum loadout rank • Rank-independent building/vehicle placement • Minimum AI requisition/command rank If the component is not present, RUPV2 simply uses its built-in defaults. POWERED BY FiF_Core RUPV2 uses FiF_Core's shared runtime configuration registry. The module owns its configuration and gameplay behavior while FiF_Core resolves the effective runtime values. Runtime consumers query Core directly and do not depend on the optional RUPV2 configuration component. FiF_Core uses first-registered-value precedence, allowing other ForgedInFire modules and server-side systems to intentionally provide shared configuration values. EXTENSIBLE Rank Unlock V2 can serve as the foundation for more advanced rank systems, including: • Campaign progr...
